About

A letter from the founder

Inspiration Index is the open encyclopedia of world-class web design. Here’s what that means and why we built it.

1. The Reference Library That Should Have Already Existed

If you want to see how different companies handle their pricing page, or how a desktop site translates to mobile, you’re mostly left opening tabs and hoping for the best. That’s what this is trying to fix.

2. Built Around Search

A big library isn’t much use if you can’t navigate it. You can filter by page type, industry, business model, and device — or just describe what you’re looking for in plain language. Search for “pricing sections with two columns” or “cards with illustrations” and find exactly what you need.

3. Every Page Type, Not Just the Front Door

Most inspiration sites stop at the homepage. Inspiration Index covers the pages, sections, and components that are genuinely hard to find good references for — pricing, case studies, careers, integrations, team pages, and a lot more. Desktop and mobile for each, with hundreds of new pages and thousands of components added every week.

4. Open Access, By Design

None of these designs are ours — they belong to the people who made them. Charging to look at someone else’s public work never felt right. That’s the “Open” in the Open Encyclopedia. We keep the lights on through sponsorships and paid plans that unlock unlimited AI search, MP4 exports, and team collaboration tools.

We’ve spent a long time building something we’re proud of. We hope you find it useful.
